by Fan1958: Well, since 1992 the mighty Longhorns are 2-5 against Arkansas with one being a 22-20 squeaker in 2004. Every time Okie has met an SEC team in the CFP they went home with their tails tucked. What Longhorn and Sooner don't realize is there will be more 7-8 win seasons in the SEC than 10-11 wins seasons, like Oklahoma at least, in the Big XII. Of course Texas has seen only one 10 win season in the last 10, and in fact the 10 year average is 7 wins per year. Since 2000, Texas is 6-6 vs. the SEC. That's about what UT can expect going forward.

Since 2000 OU is 8-6 vs SEC and most of losses were in playoffs or title games. I’m not taking that away

I will say since OU had mostly offense oriented teams this favored SEC playoff/title teams as we all know its easier to slow down offenses when you have a month to prepare. But when we go head to head weekly in conference games that 1 month advantage will go away. Additionally BV is revamping defense so by time we get there it will be stout. I look forward to the challenges and games. We won’t win as much as Big12 but we’ll win enough and the game atmospheres will be awesome and worth it. Brent is building a monster.

Only 3 of these teams won more than 8 games.
