Lived in KC for 5 years and crossed into kansas on probably a dozen occasions during that time. Meanwhile everyone on the kansas side goes to KCMO weekly if not daily. All the attractions, landmarks, and history are in Missouri. The entire state of kansas was named after Kansas City, MO in an attempt to trick settlers into associating the state with the bustling city.

So I'm not that familiar with KC as only went there once for a daughter's sporting event. Went to Independence and I thought it was a cool town- someone above called it "rough".

the the stadium, I saw it from the highway and it seemed to be to be in an area where therre wasnt a lot happening. I didnt notice many upscale hotels or shopping restaurant, etc... at least not that I recalled.
