For some, it'll be an opportunity to root for an SEC team Thursday night, and care a little bit more about the Tournament. For others, they are giving you a reason to drink and cuss and root against them.
You have been given an entire valid argument for why you can start drinking at 5pm Thursday night, and maybe even meet friends at a local watering hole.

You’ve got one sweet 16 since 2005 and 5 all time so I don’t expect you to really understand Basketball much.
We have more final 4s than you have sweet 16s boy. We have two more sweet 16s than you do tournament appearances.
