Comparing Celtics from the 60s to NBA champs today? About the same deal.
When Nolan built his teams, there was no portal, no NIL...totally different way to do things. You built it up year by year by adding pieces. Nowadays you can add a whole new team in one off season. Look at Auburn for proof.

I don't believe Nolan was content after 94. Frustrations with the NCAA investigation began to interfere with his recruiting and personal problems started slowing momentum.

As good as that team was, the 90 final four team who Nolan said was better had unfortunately faced UNLV and Duke. Some of the best college basketball teams ever.
