Depends on the fanbase. There are a lot of non-blue collars fans. Most university alumni aren't blue-collar.

yep I 100% agree. I think though College AD's have made their bed and decided that the rich crowd is who they want and they will give them any amenity possible to get them there. They clear out seats for new boxes, etc.
