I think you're going to have a handful of superteams, and then everyone else. It was already kind of like that, but I think now it will be even more so

once saban retires I think we'll see a lot more parity. I'm sure bama fans love being reminded of this but saban has essentially killed any semblance of parity in cfb considering a "bama vs the field" bet to win it all every year the last decade wouldn't be a laughable bet. In addition to bama being on a different plane that pretty much everyone else, we've also seen some major powers struggle. Guys like najee harris or bryce...those are guys taht 10 years ago are going to USC no questions asked but now went to bama, simply becuase of saban. if Riley can get USC turned around you'll hopefully have more west coast guys staying for Oregon/USC which can give the pac12 a punchers chance. If miami and FSU can finally get their acts together the ACC will keep some of that FL talent home instead of going elsewhere. Ohio state isn't going anywhere. Texas and OU coming here is going to massively weaken both of their shots (from when they were in the big 12) but it's also going to hurt the SEC's chances as a whole as well considering that's now 2 more non-cupcake games to deal with.

I think the next half decade or so we'll still see the same 4-6 teams in the playoffs we always do but whenever saban hangs it up I think CFB as a whole will see a resurgance since it won't be "bama and everyone else" anymore.
