Love Coach Stans and what he meant to State but that ship sailed 10 years ago.
The disappointing thing about Howland’s teams is that we don’t have the mental toughness of Richard Williams teams or Stansbury teams (before 2010). Those teams were mentally tough and had grit. Now obviously they did not win every game but they were capable of and did win games on the road (and at home) against really good teams. Unfortunately under Howland we just have not done that yet to date.
Having said that, I still think he is a tremendous coach but that has been the stumbling block for our teams over the last four-five years. Still time this year to over come some of that but right now it appears to be an uphill climb.
We will see what happens.
