Then a fraternity brother kept telling us all that Saban was still in play and he had to leave the house because people were literally on the verge of kicking his arse because nobody wanted to hear that shite anymore

That was one depressing arse day. I think it was a Thursday and cold as frick in Houston. I remember the offer and the turn-down. I was like you, thinking that we were about to become the door mat of the SEC. It was also coincidently the day I discovered Bill King's show on Sirius radio which was way before F-bomb even left Birmingham.
