I flew from NYC to watch the dawgs beat up on Tech (planted flag game). Next day I flew back to NYC and as soon as we hit the tarmac at LGA my phone absolutely blew up with the news. It was wild.

I was on 30a packing up to head back to Atlanta.
Joyful ride back home to say the least because I knew were getting Kirby or Herman or Fuentes

We all would probably be wishing for Richt back by now if we had ended up with Herman or Fuentes.

I was watching a Falcons game on FOX and saw it scrawl across the bottom under ‘breaking news.’ I immediately shot a text to a co-worker who is another very big UGA fan. He was on his way back home from Christmas shopping with his wife. He was so astounded that he had to pull over on the side of I-10 and call me to see if I was bullshitting him.

I wasn’t shocked at all when he was canned. The reason is because, after the third loss in a row to GT, he wondered aloud on the call in show after the game why people got so upset over a Tech loss because it wasn’t a conference game and didn’t mean anything. As soon as he said that, I told my wife he was going to be fired as soon as Thanksgiving Holidays were over on Monday. I was wrong, though….he got fired the next day.
