I am not pumping Harsin. Just looking for some positives and living in reality. If you look at his recruiting strategy, it mimics Mack Browns and CPs which he came from. They did their own evaluations. Those thinking Harsin will change to be a recruiting juggernaut like Saban/Kirby will be disappointed.

He might do his own evaluations but he’s missing on recruits that our rivals and significant southeastern schools want too. It’s not like he is knocking on different doors right now.

I mean not pumping necessarily but looking for positives and not pointing out negatives is in a sense sort of pumping.

If it works, it works. I don’t care how he does it. But do you realize how insanely good you’d have to be to find enough diamonds in the rough to compete with Bama/UGAs recruiting? Not a great strategy to use.

No one is expecting him to be Saban/Kirby in recruiting. But there’s a WIDE gap between what he’s doing and them. I mean we’re not even close to recruiting we’re used to under Chizik/Gus.

We finished #21 last year. #19 the year before. He’s got to find a way to get better than that even if he’s finding gems.
