I agree the end product isn't there. My point is this staff is at least showing the ability to move down the line. Gus in year 8 was not able to do this. TWill was supposed to be this all world recruiter yet we are in a major hole at LBer.

Are they? I just don't really see any proof or difference at all to even make that claim. They needed to sign OL last year too and they refused to take backup plans (one guy ended up at Miami, another ended up at Missouri).

The one main difference is that Malzahn was never sitting at just 6 commitments and scrambling to fill essentially an entire class with backup options. This staff MUST "move down the line" because unless we want to sign under 10 HS prospects, they have no other choice lol. But we're actually in that scenario because they DIDN'T "move down the line" already.

I really think you're giving them credit for something that doesn't even make factual sense. Their recruiting boards seem very short in general, and there is a lot of lofting around on who they want to pursue or not while all their initial options are committing elsewhere.
