Terrible comparison. The inherent variance in the sport of basketball creates a much greater likelihood of upsets, just like with baseball. The NCAA basketball tournament is actually a horrible format to determine a champion. There's a reason the NBA plays best of 7 series in each round of their playoffs rather than having a single elimination tournament.
