We get that you are very upset, for whatever reason, that Arkansas is doing this, but maybe you need to take a time out. I'm starting to get worried you are going to stroke out on this one.

As to the University's relationship with our Fortune 500 companies... Most of them are within spitting distance of the actual campus and the other has maintained close ties to the U of A for decades. 4 Fortune 500 companies with close ties to a school trumps 25 who might be in the same state but have comparatively little to do with that school.

Yes, I know... we have more Fortune 500!

But Arkansas has an unusually close relationship with the major companies in state. It is why, despite being in a low population state with some severely economically depressed areas, the University of Arkansas has never lacked for funds when it comes to upgrades and new building on campus.

So Arkansas is all of a sudden a fortune 500 hub? Would you really wanna graduate from a school in a state with 20 as opposed to 4? I imagine Arkansas has been trying to leverage all those "networking opportunities" with those 4 companies for years. How's that working out for ya?
