He would be risking a lot if he did play for LSU. The rebuild is massive and will take plenty of time and an influx of talent to be competitive. If things go wrong then it will look bad on him and hurt his draft in the future.

I’d venture to guess he has already made up his mind. Someone close said the decision could be announced as early as this weekend. Or it could be another week or two. It was indicated he will transfer to a school on the quarter system, so he still has a week or so to enroll.
