The current Texas Bowl score is exactly why we didn't play and why every rant tard cried when we pulled out. They wanted A&M to lose just like LSU has because they want to detail our momentum.
There was NO WAY we would have won with only 13 players on defense. Anyone who wanted us to go to a 99.9% sure loss is a moron.

Yes I'm well aware. But optics are optics.

I like watching A&M play football games, obviously the wins are more fun than the losses. I would have rather seen us play even if we had very little shot at winning. Its just a meaningless mid-tier bowl game, who cares who won or lost?
Now if our 38 players were all big lineman and DBs and thats it, I can see not playing. But if we had just about every position with a player or two covered, why not? Throw a running back/reciever out there and run the wildcat if we didnt have an available QB. Just have fun with it and give the guys who can play some extra practice and comptetion.
At the end of the day 9-4 or 8-5 isnt going to make or break us, or our momentum on a recruiting class that is mostly already signed thanks to early signing day.
Play the game.
