As an LSU fan, I will miss playing Florida, Auburn, and Alabama every year.
I think LSU will preserve one of Alabama/UF annually by scheduling one of the non POD games against them. Not sure which one, but probably Alabama.

Not sure.

Saban is the connective tissue behind the emergence of that rivalry to where it is today

AU seems a big shite talk, rivalry type game for them each year.

aTm has certainly filled a natural rivalry hole

And, as much as some kicked and scream about the annual UF game, it seems as rivalry like (no matter the records) as any other.

I'd think they'd be just as likely to want one of those three (especially aTm or UF) long term over Bama.

I could be very wrong though; it is not unusual for me.

The way the pods are discussed Bama is the only school that will end up with three Big Six teams every year and why is it up to LSU to decide if they play Bama? I honestly dont care about playing LSU every year so long as we keep Auburn and Tennessee.

No my knowledge, you get 3 pod games plus 6 non-pod games. Seeing as there are 16 teams in the conference, a team that plays 3 pod opponents would play half of the rest of the conference each year and alternate.

So, imagine that LSU is in a pod with Ole Miss, Miss St, and A&M.

Year One non-pod:
Alabama, @Texas, Oklahoma, @Kentucky, Vanderbilt, @Florida

Year two:
@Auburn, Mizzou, @Tennessee, South Carolina, @Georgia, Arkansas

Year 3:
@Alabama, Texas, @Oklahoma, Kentucky, @Vanderbilt, Florida

Year 4:
Auburn, @Mizzou, Tennessee, @South Carolina, Georgia, @Arkansas

In 4 years time, LSU plays every team outside of their pod home and @home at least once.
