Complicates the POD matchups rotating.

If they wanted to save all those rivalry matchups they would keep divisions with...

East - Bama, Aub, FL, GA, S.C., Kent, Tenn, and Vandy

West - Ark, OK, LSU, TX, Aggies, O.M., St, and MO

With 2 cross division games.

I don't see how.

You still rotate the pods around either way. You still have nine conference games a year in every proposal I've seen

ETA nine or ten for most proposals

No pods. Keep the SECE and SECW divisions. Put Bama and AU in SECE which preserves all the rivalries wanted by Ala, Tenn, and UGA. MIzzou plus OU/TX to the SECW.

Play 7 division games and 2 games from other division for 9 SEC games per year. No permanent crossdivision games.
