Sorry, this makes no sense. So you are saying two POD champs will be left out of the SECCG? That means every year two PODS are worthless. Why go to PODS then?


ETA and what happens if you have an undefeated team and three POD champs with one loss. This POD thing is a clustermess waiting to happen.

Because it sets up the SEC to have 2 teams in the SEC Champ game and 1 or 2 teams with 1 or 2 losses to get at large bids for playoffs.

By creating a semifinal for the SEC championship game you give 2 of your top 4 an extra loss which hurts your chance of getting 3-4 teams in the playoffs

There won’t be POD champions. 2 pods will make up a division. There will still be 2 division champions to play in the SECCG.

You go to pods so you can rotate them to keep everyone in the same conference playing each other on a regular basis.
