It's unequal and a logistical nightmare. Plus the people pushing for their their matches are disregarding the greater interests of other teams rivalry games

So, it's better to create an annual Alabama-Vanderbilt game and risk losing the Auburn-Georgia game?
Creating pods and then creating a cross-pod rivalry to maintain the necessary permanent rivals is no less of a logistical nightmare.
The schedule nonsense of not playing every team within a reasonable amount of time has always been a blight on the SEC. It's time to make the hard decisions to make it possible for every team to play every other team home and away over a 4 year span.
