Short answer: it's transparently stupid revisionist history.
The last 5 years of Bowden, FSU average 5 losses per season.
Fisher average 2.8 losses per season. Even in his worse three year stretch - the last 3 - he only averaged 4 losses per season. His last season, by far his worst, was really damaged by a broken leg to his starting QB in game one against Bama.
FSU brought in a coach who had a career winning percentage under .500, and the program died. The whole "Jimbo destroyed FSU" narrative is transparently stupid message board shite-posting.

I'm a Florida fan, so I'd love nothing more than to lay 100% of the blame on FSU. But Jimbo also played his part. With his wife sleeping around on him, he started to behave erratically. He seemed to not be doing his job, especially in recruiting.
Yeah, Taggart was incompetent. Yeah, the FSU AD was stupid to hire him. Yeah, the university should have supported the football program under Jimbo more than they did. But you can't deny Jimbo screwed them more than a little bit.
