Expanding the playoff will not hurt regular season games if you play more conference games and reward the best conference champions with bye weeks, seeding etc.

I think every conference should play 10 conference games. There should also be some type of ncaa governing body arranging 1 of your 2 out of conference matchups at the beginning of the year based of the previous years performances. You pick 1 cupcake and that’s it. Every week would be full of big schools playing meaningful games vs 2 good games a week.

If you're going to go to ten conference games and a bigger playoff, then why not go all out, get to 64 Teams, designate 16 4 team pods and take the winner of each pod, or have 8 8 team conferences and take the top two out of each conference? If we're going to shite on what makes college football college football, make it at least make sense.
