So, what is the definition of a shootout? Thinking 40 plus points is a shootout.
Looks to me the key to beating them is not getting into a chuck fest.

We haven't surpassed 30 points against Bama since 2003.
30+ points is the line where I consider a game a shootout if both teams surpass that number.
