He's got his recruits and everything for a 10 win season next year. If he hits those expectations, do you think he would leave?

I don't think he'd leave, I'd think he'd RUN.

No...I think he wants to build something in CoMo....and not in the way Zo has.

Nope. He would need 2-3 years of success. If he came over as an assistant from Bama or UGA, maybe he gets a shot after good 1 year, but being from Mizzou, he's gonna have to stack 3 years.

It really depends on what he wants. If he can recruit very well to Mizzou the only real reason to leave is because somewhere elite is calling him and he thinks he can win national championships there while being unable to at Mizzou. Mizzou has show it is obviously willing to spend big money on the big sports in the last decade (it didn't necessarily workout as basketball has shown). Or if he wants to go NFL.

If he can recruit well (assuming he coaches well because if he doesn't we aren't really worried about him leaving) I doubt salary is an issue that boosters won't make up for. I don't really see a good reason he'd want to go unless a handful of elite teams call him.

Any reason or thought behind why you would think this? Drink is bringing in a top 15 class (with upside to be a top 12 class nationally). To me this does not seem like he wants out, rather he is doubling down to build something here in COMO. I just feel like if he were already planning a next step it would show up on the recruiting trail results.

Lots of coaching carousel this year indeed, but there are lots of proven coaches out there that I would think are more front-and-center between the NCAA and NFL ranks but maybe thats just me. Would think the Tigers would start talking extension for Drink next year (year 3 of his 6 year contract)but I guess we will see.

Are we willing to pay him 8M plus per year?
