I hope it was a lesson learned in fandom cause I do think our absurd fan base is like 20% of the blame for him leaving

The fan base is hardly to blame for Nix leaving, nor did he feel that way. Sure, fan behavior is abhorrent, but Nix didn’t have rabbit ears.

He just saw the obvious, what we all saw. Gus left the cupboard bare for OL (which only worsened under Harsin).

In order to better showcase his talent, he transferred his talent to Oregon, following Dillingham as his OC ( who we released) . Turns out it was a great decision for him, as Oregon’s OL was better in every facet.

Yep, hardly. About 20% was my estimation.

The cupboard was bare for sure.

Most of the QBs that go pro are winners. Bo went to a solid HC and still may fail. What happens if he goes to the Panthers like Bryce Young. Some of it is quantifiable. Deshaun Watson was absolutely a gamer when he played against Bama. Now he is a loser and cant crack 200 yards passing. A lot has to go right.

We can still call them retarded though unless they apologize. Takes a real man to apologize and only Greygoose apologized.

And yet, Ashford actually beat Mizzou and AtM. You got one thing right in your post: he definitely competed against a dogshit QB at Auburn. And I bet Auburn wouldn’t be sitting at 3-5 right now with Ashford running a read option offense with Hunter.

That's another conversation, but yeah...my coach always taught us just keep pickle in the jar.

posted this elsewhere but apparently you ignored it:

Robby Ashfords combined stat line in those two contests:

Passing
18-31 187 yds 6.0 ypa 1 TD 2 INTs

Rushing
31 att 93 yds (3.0 ypa) 1 TD

led his team to 3 TDs and 2 FGs in 26 offensive possessions in regulation

AU won those games despite Ashford’s pathetic performances

they wouldn’t be 3-5 with Thorne running a read option offense with Hunter either

and if we had run the same Freezus offense we ran in the first 7 games with Ashford instead of Thorne we’d still be 2-5
