Tennison and Simpson expected to play this week

“Those guys are all available,” Auburn’s first-year head coach said. “One thing, if we have guys who have season-ending injuries, I am going to let everybody know it as far as the guys that have some injuries, that have some injuries that will allow them to play, we are not going to talk about their status from that standpoint.
“Like I said before, I think I was asked this earlier–the same question–those guys will be available this game,” Harsin added. “We will see how the week goes and on gameday we will obviously know whether they are ready to play or not.”

Those are guys that had a good performance or guys that had been working hard so it really comes down to us as a staff. Everybody is included in that.
“It is not always on the field. It is guys taking care of their business in the classroom, being where they need to be each and every day, being focused, being great at meetings, taking notes that nobody gets to see in the day-to-day life of our players. When guys are doing a good job of that, and playing well, it leads into being a guy who has an opportunity to be a captain that week.
“Just like our two permanent captains, it is important that those two guys get a chance to be out in front of the team after each practice when we finish up and do our Tiger jacks and all of that. Obviously, from me on Tuesdays they get recognized for being captains, honorary captains for the week. I think any time you get an opportunity to do that it means you are taking care of your business, you are doing things right. It is an example for guys on this team when it happens you have an opportunity to be chosen. There is probably a good chance you will if you are doing all of those things right.”

I like this captain system. Two players that are the team's captain, then two guys that can earn it each week.

It was awesome to see him have that game where it all clicked. I hope he can build on that and finally play up to the potential we all know he has. Awesome to see him getting the recognition and appreciation from the coaching staff by being named a captain.
I'm glad he stuck around. I feel like he needed a "fresh start". I think a lot of guys think they ga e to transfer to get that fresh start, and that is the case when you're stuck with the same coaching staff. I'm glad he realized he could start over under the new staff and didn't look for greener pastures at another program. I wish TD nothing but the best for the rest of his time at our beloved university.

Easy guy to root for. Nobody would have blamed him for trying his luck elsewhere but he said this yesterday to reporters:
