Throwing before the break

It looks like Bo throws after the receiver breaks.
When do QBs begin to release the ball prior to the break?
Seems like he throws more “at” the receiver than out in front of the receiver. Just a little more “anticipation” may help his performance.
The route the UGA kid ran near the goal line was excellent. When do we start seeing the same?
How big are these type of adjustments for a QB?

It depends on if it is a timing route or not. Plus you have to remember we are 6 games in with a mixing and matching of WRs that both the QB and WRs are reading pre and post snap coverage and leverage. Timing on non timing routes are definitely off whether that be Bo or the WR I can’t see the WRs off the line sometimes when I watch games. But you run a timing route like just a plain out move Bo rips it. Slants the same way but half of those are dropped and sometimes Bo throws a hair behind

So adjustments would be time together. And for trust from WR to QB and QB to WR to know both see the same thing in pre and post snap.
Maybe the WR coach got fired because the “reads” from the WR group was wrong throwing off timing. That and not enough players on the field or missed alignment. That’s first day install alignment and assignment for any team.

quote:thats probably something a Qb learns in year two or three under a good Qb coach. Alas, Bo had Gustav for two.
Throwing before the break

I didn't say it wasn't on Bo. I said it could be the QB or the WRs. But for anyone that thinks Bo isn't a good QB I question their knowledge of football. He has some inconsistencies but talent all there, play this year has been good to very good.

I learned from a brother Combo that was a consistent All Conference Receiver and Quarterback. I took their advice then, started working all summer, every day with a minimum of two receivers. We would work on steps and when to make the throw before the break. The more you work together, the better you become. But, as a quarterback, I had to get sharp enough to throw the pass exactly where I wanted it to be. It appears out of nowhere ...one time, unexpected, you know exactly where that receiver will be and exactly where to put the ball. Then it stays ...
Easy to do when you are on Little America, one of eleven bases surrounding Tokyo and nothing to do all summer other than to throw balls and play with girls.
Corch is dead on ...too many revolving doors and inconsistent talent to make this expected.
