Jboy pushed a rumor a month or so ago that Chip Lindsey was going to be fired by Troy for non-football related issues.
Maybe some dirty laundry was dug up by Baylor on Pugh. You know Baylor of all schools would be cautious about that sort of thing.

It's being reported that Derek Mason will be our new Def Cord and Mike Bobo will be our new off cord. Pretty much through alot of different outlets and sources

Pugh being fired the same day as accepting the job is just weird. Would like to know the story behind that. Anywhoo
As for Mason, I'm very happy with that hire if it indeed comes to fruition. He checks a lot of boxes: Been a DC at major programs in two conferences, has been a position coach in NFL, has been a Head-Coach in the SEC. Very solid hire, imo. Always good to have ex head coaches on staff, imo. Saban has made a career of it.
Not a fan of the Bobo rumors. I mean I will get behind him if Harsin has weighed his options and thinks Bobo is best. I just hope Harsin didn't say "who is a SEC coordinator" and immediately went with Bobo. I just get the Eddie Gran vibe from Bobo - a guy that's been literally everywhere and gets passed around. His offenses can be OK, but never great and somewhat outdated. That's the vibe I get from Bobo.

Don't buy it. TRob has been a DC for a while now and in the SEC. I see no way he demotes himself, even if it is AU. I think he'd take a G5 job as DC before coaching DB's at AU.

Read on another forum Pugh was let go from Baylor because old pictures from 2011 surfaced. I don't wanna go into it because I hate cancelling people for shite in the past. But it's out there on the twitterz.

He didn’t demote himself, he was fired.
