Mason gets plinked. Bases jacked.

Eric flies out. A run comes in but we needed a little more than that.

Just too deep a hole dug in the first 1 1/2 innings.

Thanks Butch, like I said we won’t make it out of the first weekend. Now we don’t have enough arms to win 4 in a row.

bullshite… the hole wasn’t too deep after 2 innings. They played us even thus rest of the way.

They were up 6-0 after two and won by five.

Still got Dre and Petro. Jackson can start a game *if* we can find a way to preserve him.
Hate that we burned LJ but it is what it is now.

Maybe, but after Jake gave up 6 runs, we scored 8 to their 7.

Then they went up 10-0… point is this wasn’t some 2 inning fluke. They outplayed us the entire 9 innings. Scored runs in 6 frames… had 18 hits and prob 30 total bases.
It was an arse kicking not a fluke

We had 9 hits vs pitchers throwing 87 mph fastballs. I don’t know how many we watched go down main street for strikes. Totally unprepared to hit the ball and be aggressive hit that has been the story most of the year, but pitchers bailed us out. Also it was clear from the jump that Marciano couldn’t get the ball across the plate today. Butch waited to long to give him the hook

Look it’s baseball… shite can happen and you give up some runs. But the fact we played this team basically even for the last 7 innings just means this wasn’t some fluky bad luck pitching. They had plenty of time to wake up and didn’t.

Eight should have won this game.
It’s on the pitching, full stop.

I would think anyone who pitched today could go again on Monday if we can get there. I don’t think anyone threw more than maybe 30 pitches.

I hate being on the back foot as much as anyone else but I’m not in freakout mode quite yet.

We are fully capable but no room for laying any more eggs.
