The only reason I want to recruit North Alabama is to not let kids slip the cracks to other programs.

I accept that we will struggle w top recruits up there for now, I just don't want the next Bryce Brown to go to Ole Miss/Memphis/MTSU because we weren't exposed to him

For those that don't know, according to Bruce, Bryce Brown showed up to an AU camp and the assistants liked but didn't love him (Bruce on show cause). Just a back Burner option if we strike out everywhere

I just don't want to miss out diamonds in the rough because we don't get the exposure to scout a kid

Being an old, loyal Auburn basketball fan, it's hard to wipe the smile off my face right now.

Didn't UNC or somebody lose one of these a few years ago and make it deep into the tournament? Happens quite a bit in these games. I don't think Pearl can teach defense anymore in modern cbb. No effort either. They'll play hard D when they're down big late like last year.

That post was a double jinx, not a prediction.

Auburn's seven SEC wins have come by an average of 14.4 PPG. The Tigers aren't just winning, they're winning by a convincing margin.

So... What kind of movement can we expect in the AP tomorrow? I think we could jump Oklahoma and maybe UNC.

I'd expect 15 or so but I haven't look at who has won and lost this week other than around our league.

Also, still amazing that we surpassed last year's win total of 18 in 21 games

We also should account for the fact a lot of ranked teams play today. Clemson and Wichita State play, and if either or both lose, we would jump them.

Most ranked teams should be heavily favored in their matchups so assuming no upsets accord (Clemson already lost this week anyways)

7- WVU 0-2
8- Xavier 2-0
9- Cincy 2-0
10- UNC 0-2
11- Zona 2-0 ** Ugly Wins
12- OU 1-1 (1-3 in past 4)
13- Ohio State 1-1
14- Texas Tech 2-0
15- Zaga 2-0
16- St Marys 2-0
17- Wichita 2-0 (lost last week though)
18- Clemson 1-1

Probably Worst Case: #15 We likely jump Clemson, Wichita, Ohio St, OU

Best Estimate: #12 We jump Clemson, Wichita, Ohio St, OU, St Marys, Zaga and North Carolina

Best Case: #9 We jump CU, Wichita, Ohio St, OU, St Marys, Zaga, UNC, Zona, WVU, Texas Tech

I think likely case is 15. We still won't get the respect we deserve

It really boils down to if we jump the midmajors ahead of us in St Marys, Gonzaga and Wichita. I imagine we either jump all 3 or none of them. If we do jump, our low point is 11-14

Will be really interesting to see where UNC (0-2) and Oklahoma (1-3) end up

Pure insanity...

and this is just the beginning. These results are going to begin recruiting themselves.

I just wish EJ hadn't soured on us, his style of play would fit perfectly at the 5

Pretty remarkable a 1 seed is a higher probability than a 3 seed.
