Tubs said he'd leave Oxford in a pine box

I wonder how long until we start looking at promoting T-Will though. Got to imagine he gets a Co-DC tag in the next couple years right?

Also, we should also talk about Kodi burns and the WRs.

Current WRs showing improvement down the stretch
Ryan Davis - Single Season Receptions Record Holder
Darius Slayton - Clearly improved over the season
Will Hastings - Walkon to solid contributor
Eli Stove - Utility man, doing pretty well now
NCM - Solid blocker, no diva attitude despite lack of targets. Got to imagine w/ his snap count he is targeted more next year

Recruiting Commits
'18 4* Top 200 Seth Williams
'18 4* Top 200 Matthew Hill
'18 3* Shedrick Jackson
'19 4* Top 200 George Pickens

Targets w/ good shot
'18 4* Top 50 Justyn Ross
'18 4* Top 200 Anthony Schwartz

Not happening his family lives in Auburn and that state retirement plan is a big deal

I have no comment on the credence of the rumor, but when you're talking SEC head coach contracts worth millions of dollars, the state retirement plan isn't anywhere close to being a "big deal".

If TN were to offer him as HC, I think he leaves. It is his alma mater and salary + buyout easily exceeds state retirement

We all know too that if Kevin Steele wanted to work one last year at Auburn off field for retirement, he'd be getting the Al Borges treatment. Steele is very well connected at Auburn, they would help him get retirement

Unless he has some incredible debt somewhere, I agree here. I know the retirement thing was something LSU fans leaned on heavily when he left for Auburn.

But if he’s hired anyone with financial sense, he’s got better retirement funding that Alabama’s TRS

Don't want to extend burns. I like his recruiting but I still think the receivers underperformed this year

Agreed. If UT calls (for HC), Steele is going. You don't coach for 38 years and turn down an offer from UT, who also happens to be your alma mater. His salary will make Alabama's state retirement look like peanuts.

I don't see him getting offered a HC opportunity. They want him as DC.

Disagree.

He’s done an incredible job cleaning up D Craig’s mess.
