When I went to Auburn I got to use part of my parents educational fund to get a pilots license at Auburn. I earned a military scholarship which then made the parents funds not needed as much. So they kindly allowed me to put it to constructive alternative use.

Perhaps your son will want to go to trade school, or do like you did educationally. As long as the funds go to furthering his education in a productive way, I'd see that as a good use.

Problem is, doesn't look like he is going to college. He just has zero interest. He got a job this week and has started working. Im praying that he changes his mind but if he doesn't, my wife and I will just have a better retirement.

I will be the one to say this is beyond frustrating. He has no clue what a gift you saved to give him. While a degree isn't a requirement for someone to find a job they love, it is a requirement for almost all high paying jobs. That combined with him not having to pay off debt is a no brainer that you go and get that damn piece of paper.

I was accepted at Georgia and at Auburn and went to AU for their Aviation Management program. However, back in the early 80's it was more of an engineering degree than anything else. Wound up not being for me. I got a degree in Transportation and have been in the industry ever since.

Am active in the Auburn Supply Chain program though and am on an industry advisory council at AU for that program.

I got in state tuition a year after being in school by staying in Auburn one summer back when you could do that.

Christ, can we not got completely stupid? Luxury suites at the softball venue? What? Those will get used once in 10 years? frick that.

It all needs to go into JHS. Not the scoreboard...the damn stadium. Either bigger or nicer. BDS kicks our arse. irritating.

Bro, chill out. We have reserves. And when we get low, uncle Milton will take care of us

Pav's BP tends to run a lil high.

Actually prefer Jordan Hare to Tuberville West. Bryant Denny is big but the game day experience for the non-luxury box fan isn't anything to brag about.

Focusing on issues like better seating, cell phone coverage, concessions have a better value than expansion IMO
