I have traditionally believed that the quality and productivity of any given ST unit was a visible indicator of the talent level of “next season’s team” ….. and prior to the transfer portal, that has generally proven to be true. With rare exceptions, the developing players are contributors on ST units, and it can be argued that successful ST coaches often don’t get the credit they earn.

I’m not sure that is the case any longer, but I haven’t seen enough “trend data” (post Portal) to determine if the old saw holds true.

What say you? …… and what do you believe it says about AU in the next couple of seasons?

We have a lot of the 2 deep in on special teams not just the young guys like in the 80’s
