Cheese ripped the roof off Variety last night. I’m sure tonight will be you’re most basic festival set ever though.

I bet that was an awesome show. The Variety was the first place I saw 'em, back on Halloween '97. I seem to remember enjoying it well enough, but due to a bit too much partying + SCI's set not ending til almost 3am, it was quite the struggle staying awake, lol...my memories were much clearer at future SCI shows, for sure.

I've never understood the fascination with WSP. They pale in comparison to other jam bands like moe., Umphreys, etc. Every WSP song sounds the same and John Bell's vocals suck

Personally I much prefer the jam bands closer to the bluegrass genre like Railroad Earth, Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, Green Sky, and Yonder Mountain.

to all of these

For me Phish and WSP are all about the experience of the live show, while the bands you listed are abouy the music for me. Those are the ones I sit around and listen to a lot.

Bowl, Have you ever been to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival or the Ride Festival in Telluride?

If you like this type of music then both festivals are right down your alley (if you haven't already been before).

I haven't but I have a recording of a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band show at Telluride that I listen to all the time. I love bluegrass.

Telluride and Colorado in general are on my list of places to go in the immediate next couple of years,
