Thorne looked much better after we played some of the worst teams on the schedule. Then he went back to looking bad after those games were over.

I remember you used to bash Nix so hard. One time saying how hard is it to get a 60% passer to Auburn as if Nix would be no big loss.

You knighting for the Louisville TE, Jeremy Johnson (against Nick Marshall) and Ashford is poetic. Congrats Thorne on winning the Heisman.

As did you. At least I personally knew the kid to be pulling for him.

Link? I did think JJ would take the offense to a different level, because he was completing over 70% of his passes as the backup.

and Ashford

You were calling for Ashford during the season. Once again, you contradict yourself and think you post gotchas.

I will bet you anything you can muster up this won’t happen.

How did this thoughtful dialogue migrate here from the other thread?

Until he lost. Just like how I wasnt pulling for Hugh to get the job, but once he did, I jumped on board.

Link?

I'll leave that to the OG's like AA7. They are the ones that bring it up.

Link? I was not happy with either for the first half of the season. But I still saw Thorne as the better fit and a more stable option.

Maybe. It could also mean he was trying to get PT to finally step it up. To be what he had been everywhere else.

Because most everyone saw Robbie was woefully in over his head. To the point Hugh didn't even hide we weren't letting him throw. Not unless trapped and then he couldn't even throw it away.

The Throne fanboys are working overtime to defend him and trying to convince the rest of us that one of statically worst QBs in Auburn history is magically going to become great QB next year. It must be exhausting.

You have no room to talk after your two year love affair with Ashford and believing he was the guy. He just needed a chance to play with the whole playbook.

Thorne will be Auburn's Qb in 2024.

Too many off work and we're starved by the lack of recruiting.

Hopefully next season we’ll actually have a QB better than him, and not someone the caliber of TJ or PT.

Who is the rest of us?

There’s three sides to this argument:
1. “Thorne sucked but will improve” people
2. “Get me a portal QB” people
3. Jville

Gus loved that January 20th date for the red carpet date for the big fish. I hope it works out for us.

I’m all in on the #2 option, so not sure what you mean by that.

Besides for Williams are we awaiting/expecting any other targets to sign, which would count towards the 24 class rankings?

Define a Jville:

-Ashford has"better numbers" ( backyard ball and volume account for having more total yards) while every QB metric under the sun or soon to be invented in the next hundred years shows Thorne as the superior QB.

-Thorne's numbers are historically one of the worst in the SEC.

_- We are after a portal QB so says I. Jville Two weeks ago: Cam Ward is visiting Auburn unless Miami offers him the bag. ****Crickets Crickets Crickets***

-Gatewood over Nix, Jeremy Johnson over Nick Marshall

Correct. And as a category 2er, I agree with category 1 more than I agree with Jville.
