When was the last time we had a legit pass rusher?

We have had 3 in 8 years under Gus. 2013 we had senior Dee Ford who was a gift left to us by Tuberville. Passrush was injured in 2014 and 2015. 2016 we had Lawson as a senior. 2017 we had Holland. No passrush in 2018, 2019, or 2020.

We also have no DT now in 2020. But this board insist that Garner is a good coach.

Garner is a great coach and great recruiter. He is not responsible for the Bucks. That has been Steele and now Pogue this season.

Coach G has never been known for developing pass rushers. That's not his primary responsibility. Great hustle, physicality, and self responsibility is Coach G's greatest assets along with being great with defensive tackles in technique. I've always thought Coach G should only handle DTs and have a dedicated Ends coach. I guess that is what Pogue is now.

I understand our OL and DL are green
Respectfully, why do we keep talking about “green”? When you’ve been a head coach for 7 years at a place, there should never be this level of green at any position.

They are green but so is Georgia's so obviously at some point there are some other factors at work that are more responsible for our troubles running the ball with anyone not named Kerryon Johnson since Malzahn's signees started making up the majority of our OL. I'm a baseball basketball guy so I don't know the ins and out of what all it takes to put together a quality ol but if it doesn't get fixed it's going to be the major reason we move on from CGM. We've had the talent and production to compete everywhere else.
