Not going to pretend that I know anything about gymnastics and the appropriate etiquette at a meet so feel free to correct me if my assessment is incorrect, but let’s not act like this is golf or chess.
I could see it being an issue if they were distracting the girls, but this seems like college kids having fun at a sporting event. But again, I know nothing about gymnastics. These people didn’t seem to have any issue with it however: LINK

I watched the meet live.........and re-watched the recording.
Our students copy the very beginning of the routine and the last thing the gymnast does when they finish. Furthermore, if you think those gymnast are looking in the stands during their routine, you have no clue.

If they’re so out of the way I’m sure they were “cheering” on our team in the same way right? I’ve seen a video where one of their gymnast had to play off the distraction. And she did well. There is nothing special about some Auburn fans acting like little shits.
I’ve attended at least 10 collegiate college matches. None of them were like that trash.

I saw where one of theirs laughed when she turned and saw it. It was such a distraction, theirs would mimic their own gymnast routine, during the routine, and laugh about it.
You saw a clip and have your panties in a wad over it.........a fricking clip.
When they were on anything, except for floor because the music drowns everything out, you could hear their gymnasts shouting encouragement to whoever was up, during the routine. That's how "distracting" our crowd was.

Again, I watched it live while I was recording it. I enjoyed it so much I watched it again...........because I enjoy watching Suni. It is obvious she has something more than every other gymnast and I enjoy watching her. Our crowd was in no way a distraction to the other team. Ours were loud when our gymnast stuck a routine...............just like we get loud when we hit a three.
AGAIN, our fans were so loud when theirs were performing that you could hear bama gymnasts cheering theirs on during the routine. That's how "disrespectful" our fans were.
ETA that stick is really deep today.

and you are judging it off of a clip where the gymnast turned and laughed at what our crowd was doing..........so you aren't exactly the person who needs to be giving their "expert opinion" on this subject.
