Glad I was wrong.

College golf is odd...they send the lower scoring teams (leading) off early. The teams behind in scoring play later. We had a terrible day. Of the top 15 we had by far the worst day at +24. We actually had to count two scores today in the 80's.

I was hoping looking at the early scoring that the teams who were in front of us after we finished would also play poorly. That's what happened. It must have been tough conditions today.

Ironically, the only team with a legit shot to knock us out was LSU and that faded as the round went on. Considering I started this post with a subtle jab at LSU I was worried karma was going to take over.

We are capable of making up the 6 shots, but we will have to play better than we have played the last 2 days.

Saw this morning that a kid from USCe got a 3 shot penalty for slow play...they missed the 15 team cut but 2 shots. That's brutal. I wish the PGA tour enforced slow play penalties...it is miserable playing with a guy who plays slow at any level.

We had another tough day...came in ranked 11th and finished in 12th place. A decent day today would have made match play, but our guys didn't have their normal stuff the last 2 days. It was a good year all in all. Vandy and A&M made the final 8.
