I can’t figure out you “we need to stick with Harsin or else we turn into Tennessee” dudes that are blind to see Harsin is already taking us there.

But Tennessee didn't become Tennessee because of one bad hire. It took a series of bad hires, both at AD and HC.
Freeze - or Sanders - would be bad hires. Just like Butch and Germy were bad hires on top of Dooley. Hell, Heupel may end up being a bad hire too.
Likewise, Bama made a series of terrible hires after they ran off Mean Gene.
Is Harsin our Dooley? It's definitely a possibility, made more likely due to the failed coup this past February.
My hope is that he exceeds expectations enough this season to grab a job elsewhere, and the AU Brain Trust comes to their senses and hires Aranda away from Baylor. But neither of those scenarios seems very probably at this point.

He turned a doormat sec school into a respectable school that could make the sugar bowl and beat Bama twice in a row in short order. That is not debatable. Why are you minimizing his successes at ole miss when our current coach is 5-7 while Freeze created a third round QB out of our scraps.

and promptly got them on probation. That isn't debatable either.........so those wins meant absolutely nothing.

It’s a gamble for a reason. Would he screw up again who knows. Would he be dumb to screw up a second chance hell yeah and he knows that. We got a former screw up in Bruce Pearl too just in case you forget.

It is worth a chance in my opinion. I was not in favor of hiring Freeze because I didn't think he was good enough. But I would have supported hiring him if I had known that Harsin was being considered.

Harsin is not gonna make it, and for whatever reason, folks at AU are handicapping him. When the clock strikes 0.00 after the Iron Bowl, we will know. We can't get out of our own way.
As much as I hate bama, they are aligned on winning. From the AD all the way down to the part-time lady scrubbing toilets, they only want to win. Pussified AU fans want a guy who can graduate players, be active in the community, be religious, and maybe win some games.
One day in my lifetime I want a guy to pull the sword out of the stone.
Even our radio guy sucks. We can't nail down the little things.

I’m gonna pretend like that’s a compliment. I’m actually of the opinion that Deion’s charisma and recruiting are more along the lines of Bruce, and Freeze is my second favorite, however it’s ridiculous to assume they are bad coaches. Especially Freeze. It’s also ridiculous to assume that one screwed once they’ll screw up again. It’s a gamble.

Cristobal didn't want the job. Turned it down. So keep trying. We are looking at Rhett, Muschamp, or Grimes.
