Remember when we complained about Gus' reputation and weak coaching tree keeping us from getting great coaches?? And around and around we go.

Well Dunbar and Buckner definitely turned him down, Tray Scott most likely did as well so there’s 3 for you.

Hopefully he makes it to mid season next year. Jeremy Pruitt did fire a lot of top notch coaches, and even more top notch coaches get fired during the season

One of my biggest complaints about Gus was his lack of the coaching tree and inability to bring in great coordinators and coaches. I have been a big supporter of Harsin but the coaching changes are troubling. Eason was a huge loss and this new hire is below avg. I don’t know how to compare Mason to Schmedding as far as coaching but Mason’s reputation and respect among coaches and recruits is higher. The new LB coach is another avg hire. Add Friend to the mix and imo our staff has gotten worse.
