If so, he is doing a hell of a job this year

I'm more impressed with our defense and our early season hitting. Normally hitting doesn't come around until late march.

Even Butch is surprised with our performance on the mound.

Let’s we what they do in conference play.

Were doing it with a lot of soft contact too which is surprising. Granted we don't really have a lot of overpowering arms right now (Barnett and Allsup) either.

Yale is not very good though and they haven't played in 2 years and that was game 1 of the year from them.

The last 3 games I've thought our hitting approach in the back half of the games has been shite. Got to get more disciplined for games that will go a full 9.

Just was looking at our schedule, saw we play in Red Stick the weekend of the Final 4. If the basketball team can make a run that would be a really fun weekend.

I agree but probably for different reasons. The Renfroe/Gross approach I don't like, and its too cerebral for college baseball. I'd rather AU hunt fastballs like we did under Sisson. We had shite talent then but raked. 70% of pitches you see are fastballs.

I mean, we led the league in slugging last year.

I get that but we were typically shut down against the top SEC arms. I just think that Gross' approach is too complicated for most college hitters. I just prefer Sission's approach.
