I didn’t. It was just weird seeing this short/jacked guy kicking, when we’re used to seeing tall skinny guys.
One of my fraternity brothers was a walk-on kicker 92-93 and was built just like that guy. Wondered if it was his son

Locked on Auburn guys believe that Ashford and Calzone will compete for the starting spot, and Finley is out:

Shane Beamer looks like a genius hire

I’m not really sure what praise Beamer deserves. He deserves some and what he is due. However he took some lumps last year but never failed spectacularly and I think that is why their fans think they are building something. He stayed out of the limelight for the most part, unlike Harsin. Harsin couldn’t even get out of fall camp without a controversy. He did just enough for the transfer portal recroots and fans to convince them he must be building something. It’s a pretty low bar albeit we didn’t reach it, but it’s still insignificant. I need to see more from him.

Beamer was 7-6 in an easier conference and won their bowl game against an injured and depleted UNC team. Finished #25 in recruiting but fans are latching on to the Spencer Rattler transfer and a rival victory. I’d probably be too in that scenario
As a fan, I’m in no position to shite on Beamer. He was a fit at a program with low expectations and they’ve done well in the transfer portal with some offensive skill talent. I’d also like to see how it plays out long term

Somehow in this God forsaken life USCe has beat us twice in a row.
I wish the rapture would just come already.

I’m just glad we’re recruiting well so we have something to look forward too!

EUGENE — Bo Nix outperformed his fellow quarterbacks during Oregon’s spring game.
The Auburn transfer went 8 of 15 for 230 yards with three touchdowns and an interception compared to 168 yards with a touchdown and two interception by Ty Thompson and a combined 16 of 26 for 213 yards with a score and interception by Jay Butterfield at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

quote:It still grinds my gears that USC ran the same offensive running play 20+ times in our game against them and we still couldn't stop it. IIRC USC threw the ball 14 times in that game.

Agreed. I guess I still have too much homer in me but I hate when we lose to any team that isn’t anything special. I expect us to win. Gus probably would’ve kept his job if he beat the shitty Georgia, USCe, and Tennessee teams. Last year’s USCe team was no different. I still expect to win them even though we sucked too. Same for the Houston team. We need to reclaim our place in the SEC. Not as good as Bama but better than most. And then we can worry about picking off Bama.
