Interesting Comments From Shane Beamer

Was just on Youtube and I saw Beamer's recent presser "suggested" to me so I listened. It was basically him answering questions about his assistant hires. A reporter asked him about keeping so many from the old staff. He said different coaches have different idea about keeping old staff. But he said something interesting:

"I talked to a new head coach in college football yesterday and he told me 'I'm going in and cleaning house, not keeping anyone.'"

Doing research there have been 11 coaching changes in FBS so far. Most of them were not in the south. So I think the chances are decent it was Harsin. Southern Miss and Vandy also have new coaches, so it could be them as well.

He was also asked about finding new assistants to hire and said this:

"When I got hired here, I didn't expect Auburn to come open so that certainly changes the dynamic across college football."
