Yep, and he was about as proven as it gets as a head coach. He was 57-18 at Cincy, finished in the top 5 and the top 10 in two of the last three years before he went to Wisconsin.

There are no sure things, which is what makes getting tied into those 10 year 10 million dollar a year guaranteed contracts such an iffy proposition. We are far better off giving someone 5 mil a year for a shorter contract to prove themselves. And not some guy muddling around with 5 loss seasons in lesser conferences like Freeze was.
