You think with the economy at this point surrounding college sports that we are going to fork out 25+ million to ditch the head coach plus whatever we owe the assistants?
Right. If we aren’t going to fire him in prior non covid years, it’s not going to happen this year. Makes no sense why ADAG would be so conservative with the pocketbook that he would take away slushee funds and make baseball players travel by bus to North Carolina in non covid years just to fire Gus rn w/o cause.

If you know anything about football you would know 2013 offense was totally different then 2017.
This is not true. Good look at the opening series of the Iron Bowl in 2013 and tell me how it was different from 2017, 2018, or 2019.
Run up the middle on 1st down, screen pass for no gain, throw it deep on 3rd down, punt. All plays work when you have good talent. Nick Marshall was a difference maker.
It's been the same bullshite for year. Only now we are seeing the manifestation of Gus' incompetent lazy recruiting and inability to scout talent along the OL and at RB and his mismanagement of the roster.

Anyone with a pulse could win:
1. Three easy nonconference games.
2. 90% of the games vs Ole Miss, Miss State, and Arkansas.
3. 75% of the games vs Texas A&M.
4. 75% of the rotating eastern games.
5. 75% of the openers against middle of the pack ACC, PAC12, and Big10 teams.
6. 50% of the LSU and Georgi games.
7. 33% of the games vs Alabama when they are saban level good.
You could swap Gus with any coach in the SEC (except Muschamp) and get better results than we have.

It's not about winning percentage because Gus is at the norm for AU in just about every way. It's about perception. Perception within the base is not good. Therefore a change is needed.
The real issue is money. Period.

Muschamp is a shitty HC, but at least he has some fire about him and is likable.
Gus is just a nerdy loser. That golly gee shucks, "mad scientist" shite could be overlooked when we were winning in 2010 and 2013. Now it is sorta embarrassing and I think the whole fanbase is pretty much over Gus in general.

Beating bama isn’t and shouldn’t be the sum of AU’s goals...
Well we're not going to have to worry about that this year, now are we? Saban is going to shove the scoreboard up our arse and break it off.

Might as well get used to it for the interim if we aren’t going to make a move... if the $ isn’t there to remove the mistake, which it is as such contracts aren’t signed without the pieces being in place, we should carve out the FB programs funding and send it to basketball and baseball where we aren’t going to waste it on subpar results. Would you advocate for wasting $$$millions with no return? If so, you and those unwilling to admit the mistake are the problem and have zero business in managing such an operation with such stakes. AU taught me well and those within our ranks are doing our university a huge injustice in an attempt to cover their own tails...
