Really?

Have you forgotten the stale offense, the endless nothing coachspeak, and the Twirlybird? The ‘great weeks of practice’?

It was time for him to go but dude was more successful then almost all of our prior coaches. Dye is the exception.

Tommy Tuberville?

Gene Chizik with a Natty?

Bowden had an undefeated season.

I think Lanier earlier was bragging that Gus will be going to his conference’s championship

I merely stated a fact about our former coach after one of our fabulous posters made another attempt to run him down. Thats all.

Then another one of our fabulous posters started this thread, another thread about Gus, and once again you all are were loving the fact that he may fail. I just dont understand why you guys want him to fail so bad. Its like you are UGA fans and hate every player and coach who leave the program. They have always been that way

Yes he did get a win last night and yes his program is playing for their championship and if some how they get lucky and win they will probably get a new years 6 bowl game. All the while we are just praying to be one of the 5-7 consolation teams who get invited to a bowl game that we did not earn a right to play in

I will never understand why this board wants a man to fail so bad who gave them so many great moments.

It really doesnt make sense

A thread was started because Gus was on the verge of blowing a 28-0 lead to a 1-10 USF team that could knock him out of the conference championship.

It’s not that serious, Spots

.

So you are Ok with firing him because he didnt tell you about injuries, he rans a stupid play in two ganes and he says the team had a good week of practice just like every coach in the nation?

Are you forgetting him pulling us up out of the gutter than was 2012, taking us to Pasadena and liking one defensive mistake from winning a second natty in 4 years? Beating 3 undefeated, #1 teams, 2 in consecutive weeks which has NEVER been done? 500 yards rushing in the SEC championship game which may never be beat. Bringing in some of the highest ranked recruits in
auburn history?

Not everything was perfect but you will learn that you will always take the good with the bad. The highs with me, were enough to justify the lows. Gus gave me some of my best moments in Auburn history and I will hate him for the shortcomings and I will not wish for him to fail like you guys do

You really want to compare him to Chizik? Seriously? Was it Chiziks fine defense or Gus's offense that won the natty? Did Gus every lose the team or have double digit guys arrested?

Tubberville was one of my favorite coaches for Auburn but he was spineless. If he had stood up for the team in 2004, there would have been a better chance we didnt end up in New Orleans. But he didnt. Gus faced the SEC when it was way up. Along with Bama. Not while they were on suspension.

Bowden? Cant even believe you bring up a guy who got fired for being a chode

Right or wrong having him around eventually killed my enthusiasm. So I was glad when he left. Mostly due to his stubborn play calling and lack of personality to compensate for said play calling and frequent mediocrity.

You should blame Mike Slive for that, not Tubbs. IMO
