Spin this however you will, but leaving the team now is a shot at the coaches and the team

Maybe to Gus, but Tate was on record today saying he was a popular locker room guy. Well liked. Seems his boys would easily talk him out of it. He didn’t have a poor attitude like Byron Cowart. Shivers mom is over on AUF tore up over it.

I cannot wait for Joey to transfer because you fricktards wont shut the frick up about the backup QB who couldnt start on his own high school team and lost a QB battle after having 1 year in the system to a high school kid. Post brandon Cox's stats pussy

You got your wish, wtf are you still bitching about? Joey leaving sucks, but I’m enjoying the Nix militants like yourself losing your shite.

He didn’t quit on the team. Gus Malzahn quit on him. He knows Nix hasn’t played well against the good opponents. In my opinion the kid deserved a couple of meaningful series. Especially when Nix was not performing well.

Everyone knew he was going to transfer if he didn't win the starting job. This was discussed prior to the season so it's not a surprise.

It’s a surprise when the starter has struggled mightily, and Gus still doesn’t give him a shot. Well, I guess that really isn’t a surprise with good ole Gus.

Gatewood should have gotten a few series but he should not have left the team mid season

Team Gatewood may need counseling after this

I am consoled by the fact that he may actually get developed by another staff.

I have said the same thing about giving him meaningful snaps even before people became concerned about Bo.

Joey still quit on his team for no reason. He could have sucked it up and stayed till the end of the season. He chose not to do it.

Gus screwed it up. He failed Joey IMO. However, the only thing Joey has control over is his own decisions. He could have stayed, finished the season and left this place telling Gus to go to hell on his way out.

Seriously do wish him well but if you’re defending him leaving mid season you’re showing your true colors. It’s not a mistake that will define him and honestly I get it.. I might have done the same thing. But it is a mistake.

He didn't quit on his team because he was riding the pine and not playing.

He 100% told Gus to get wrecked today. Gus embarrassed that young man on national TV Saturday and Gatewood got the last laugh on him today.

Sad thing is 5 years ago Gatewood would have sat there and took it because he would have had to kiss Gus's arse to get a release.
