Freeze doesnt have a youth excuse. There are plenty of seasoned veterans across the lineup.
New talent does need to fill some holes

It's a numbers game.
From the number of players, to the number of games, to the number juries, and the amount of deadwood. The two sports don't equate. The moving parts alone, with defensiveness/offensive alignments compounded by the extra number of participants, which makes teaching and learning much complex. The moving parts are different and a couple kids make a bigger difference. Even takes more to be an all-star talent, fresh out of the box in one season.
Now Hugh.... (I agree)...... it's put up time, he's got to have a better show.
