CorchJay this downvote doesn't surprise me especially when you consider that so many people are immune to facts. Stats can assist in providing a more accurate representation of what is occurring. This obviously did not support their point of view.

Have I defended Gus in this thread at all? No, trying to discuss progress where it improving and where it isn’t. Just an evaluation.
Y’all Gus haters are sensitive bunch. I supported Gus. I support Harsin but obviously we can all have our own opinions. I post threads like this to generate discussion.
Shhh I will give you a little hint I usually do these type threads after a loss during the season. Typically when the mob is going after 1 player or 1 coach. (There’s only so many ways in a week between games say we should have brought more pressure on defense). After a win I generally create some topic of an off the spot light player. I think I did that earlier in the season about Eku as an example.

Fair enough, looks like you're right given the seasons so far. On top of that it looks like we faced more top 50ish run defenses last year than this year as well.

I don't think Bo was the problem, the problem appears to be that the conditioning we had in the offseason appears to have worn off in the end of the season. Also whoever didn't give all the facts about Bo's injury on the medical team needs to be eval'd/disciplined if they didn't aptly recognize/test Bo's ankle when he started showing a weakness there. Someone fell* on his ankle in the midst of the 3rd quarter I believe 3rd down and it should have been recognized then.
This also could be tough guy mentality that he played off as not a problem, or knew how to hide the pain at the right moments. Remember that Ole miss QB dude that just had the wonder shot and kept playing after going to the locker room.
If they actually did realize it, they should have focused on plays that let him only do short drop backs or handoffs, or put in Finley when they needed to. During the presser Monday Harsin seemed to indicate that the medical team did not say anything about an injury to the ankle until it was obvious to everyone everywhere. He also said that Finley didn't get many reps last week, which I understand getting less reps as not being the projected starter, but he should get at least 1/3rd of them as the #2.
On a side note, maybe this is exactly what we need for Finley to get a breakout opportunity to excel. We haven't seen a game plan built entirely around Finley yet.

Passing: 17-21-1 (81%) for 265 yards amd 2 TDs, 12.6 ypa, 2 TDs
Rushing: 8 carries 24 yards, 3.0 ypc, 1 TD
Those were TJ's numbers in his first ever start (first actual time setting foot pm the field as a true FR) last year against South Carolina - both his passing and rushing were career highs. And their best receiver, Boutee, had only one catch that day.
Different coaching staffs, of course, but maybe the light will come on again.
Of course the very next week he looked like hot garbage against us and has never been the same, but hey, any old port in a storm...
