Kenpom fricking blows. Yes, I know it's "predictive" but it's absolute shite.

I like Kenpom but I think it’s dumb to base polls around it because there are certain intangibles that teams have that are impossible to quantify.

I hate it, think it's terrible, always have. Kentucky is one spot behind AU.

I've hated Kenpom for a long time, so it usually doesn't phase me much anymore. It's getting annoying as frick though watching writers throw out the 'metrics' like they really matter with the top 10. If you have an efficiency rank outside of the teens, that's one thing, but otherwise it's a shite way to help analyze seeding and polls.

KenPom favors efficient teams and wide margins of victory. Bruce teams sacrifice efficiency for the sake of chaos.

I suspect we will pick up a few more first place votes and the KenPom dude will now bump us up too. It’s going to take an actually concerted effort to keep us at 2.

The writer has his own ranking philosophy and it is more subjective than he’s willing to admit, but he apparently pisses off a lot of fanbases judging by his pinned tweet.

I’m sure he is ready to move Auburn up because we will be number one regardless of where he puts us which will reflect negatively on his metrics.

I wonder how long we can hold on to number one. I imagine at Arkansas, at Florida, etc will be tough games to handle while we are hunted, however we have some clutch players that aren’t wanting to lose. We are playing like 4 total losses won’t happen

I don't get the KenPom hate? It's just an efficiency metric, and by the end of the year it's the best way to tell whether your team has a shot at a title.

That said, I don't agree that it should be used for AP voting.

I don’t think his system is flawed or wrong, but he hasn’t been consistent in its use and therefore will cause fan bases to call him out in it. He uses other things that are more subjective and less objective as he is trying to portray himself to be.

I think he has done a good job marketing himself and causing many to start reading his work.

metrics like Kenpom are trying to predict potential future matchups. Mixing the two is silly.

Don't have a hatred for him in general ....I see his effort as being flat out lazy.

I've experienced lazy by that crowd before. Not impressed.

I’d rather our team work on difficult things during the regular season and eek out a few wins, rather than blow teams out and be unprepared to face adversity in the post season.
