Funny how some of us have gravitated back to the same spot - I was on the old Alliance Sports AU board in '98 when they first changed the name of the forum to "The Bunker" - as I recall it was because one of the regulars (may even have bee JR) had said something about adopting a bunker mentality due to the madness surrounding the program back then....good times (they weren't) 
Of course I remember Ox, were you beatbammer back then too? I've been using the same handle for 20 years now, going back to the early days of TRE.
ETA: hey Ox, I'm surprised that I haven't seen you over on the Political Talk board...as I recall you had some rather, ahem, outspoken opinions back in the day...

What was the proprietors name back then? Will Woods, right?

And I remember you, Freep! Nah, I was never beatbammer, always just Ox, or The Ox, or sometimes according to some folks "Hey a-hole!" ;) I'd have kept that handle to except I couldn't get any admin assistance after I'd lost my old Mindspring email account and could not recover my password. So I went CleCo (as I now reside in Cleburne County, a place that just drips with bammer...) and kept my avatar...just to confuse folks.

LOLs! Yeah, I did, didn't I? I still do, but a little older and it just got to where banging my head against the desk hurt a little too much so I've kind of pulled back from arguing about such things for the most part. If ever I had changed anyone's mind/opinion (or they mine) I might have stuck with it but mostly what I found was things turning into pissing matches. And of course as you get up into your mid 50s like I am and your prostate starts to be about the size of a spare tire but needs a rim the size of a 1/64th inch bit, pissing matches tend to not go so well. ;)

Yup. Will Woods. He sure jumped into the internet as a business op at the right time. I hear that these days he's some VP or something with Rivals.. Sure used to enjoy it when he'd show up and spank some arse on The Bunker as a few of us boys back then occasionally went at it. (Not me though. Oh no, not sweet little old me!)
